Still
some confusion about what
Miami Beach Bruthaz 2008
stands for? Ian Smith, founder of this weekend of events, thought about
putting together a weekend of festivities in South Beach that will serve as an
African American and Latin gay pride celebration, that will welcome any race,
any individuals and any businesses who would want to network and to help to
increase the sense of community in South Beach. On its third year, Miami Beach
Bruthaz 2008 has grown considerably and has received tremendous national and
international attention from attendees and the media alike, because of its
purpose. This is an opportunity for residents of
South Florida, businesses and different organizations to support and to
help build a weekend of festivities during the Summer season that can be
educational, informative, fun, and that can contribute to increase the gay
community's presence in the country and the world.
Miami Beach Bruthaz 2008 starts next Thursday, July 17 and is scheduled until
Sunday, July 20. The luxurious Bentley Beach Hotel on 1st and
Ocean Drive
serves as the host hotel. With a mantra of "Knowledge, Culture and Fashion",
this year's schedule brings together engaging workshops, networking gatherings,
exiting dance parties, fashion shows and pool bashes and even upscale bowling
and private VIP parties. Miami Beach Bruthaz especially wants to thank the City
of Miami Beach, the participating venues, sponsors, media sponsors and the
different companies and individuals involved who are making this weekend
possible. You are welcome to learn about the entire line-up at the web site
