First Sunday  Umm It was Good ***(Three Stars)

First Sunday started off very slow, but eventually sucked me in with all the quips and funny comments.  In the end I could not help but fall for these characters.  After all had been said and done this story left me with a soft and warm feeling in my heart. Director David E. Talbert was most successful in reminding me what a true Christian is: a person that loves and accepts and forgives.  

Yes this film moved at a glacial pace in the beginning, however instead of leaving I stayed to watch what kind of a conundrum this all star cast would make. First Sunday features some of the biggest names in African American Entertainment such as Ice Cube, Loretta Devine (who captured our hearts in Waiting to Exhale), Tracy Morgan (who gained fame in the TV series SNL: The Best of Tracy Morgan,)  Regina Hall (who made us laugh hysterically in all of the Scary Movie's,)  Chi McBride , Michael Beach, Malinda Williams, Nicholas Turturro, but I tell you that Katt Williams (comedian Def Comedy Jam: Vol. 2) stole the entire show. He was not a lead but he clearly stole every scene that he was in, and if he was not in this movie it would not be worth seeing. 

If you can sit through the beginning, this film proves to be a hilarious and warm journey with some truly funny and entertaining characters.
