Georgie's Alibi is Wilton Manors' main gay nightclub. It's always busy.
There are video monitors in every nook and cranny (even the restroom) and
the VJs are great. The music is mostly current Top 40 with some blockbuster
Country and oldies thrown in. Occasionally the VJ throws comedy clips from
Mad TV, Saturday Night Live, Will and Grace and many other gay themed shows
onto the monitors.
The menu includes burgers,
chicken and fish sandwiches, pasta, salads and many other dishes. The
restaurant's atmosphere is casual and mostly
outdoors on a large covered patio with several swings to eat in. This is not
gourmet dining, but it's a great place to meet friends, have a drink, a
burger and a good time.
The Miami Herald
says this about Georgie's Alibi: "Right
in the heart of Wilton Manors, Georgie’s Alibi is still one of the hottest
spots in town. This place is almost always packed and there’s usually a
line. The music: Disco." |
