LALAH HATHAWAY

The daughter of the great Donny Hathaway, Lalah Hathaway broke onto the music scene with her self-titled album in the early '90s for which she won critical accolades. Her ability to sing a wide range of musical genres, including jazz, pop and gospel, has earned her a place as one of today's rising vocalists.

BA CISSOKO

A trail-blazing quartet of young Guinean musicians, Ba Cissoko create high-energy contemporary African music, combining the crystalline sound of the kora, a traditional 21-string harp, with deep vocals and killer percussion. The result is an electrifying rock-and-reggae-influenced sound that injects the age-old music of West Africa with a groovy urban edge.

These songs have become companions to nutrition programs across the country. Cathy & Marcy rock out with "The Food Pyramid," celebrate the magnificent "Potato," and sing about "Breakfast Power."
