Hulanicki will always be remembered for BIBA, the shop that changed
the face of UK fashion in the 1960's and 70's. A phenomenon in the
truest sense of the word, BIBA has left an indelible mark on the
history of British fashion. It was not only the place where
celebrities like Mick Jagger, David Bowie, and Twiggy shopped but
where arguably the most powerful figure in the world of fashion,
infamous editor of Vogue Anna Wintour (the devil in The Devil Wears
Prada) got her start.
Just as Barbara was a key ingredient in the cultural explosion that
occurred in London in the 1960's, she also found herself at the
birth of the incredible regeneration of Miami Beach in the late
1980's and 90's. Barbara still resides in Miami Beach, and continues
to work as one of the most respected interior designers in the
United States.
Offering a rare insight into Barbara Hulanicki today by sharing her
memories from the impossible glamour of BIBA to the murder of her
father and taking us on an intimate tour of her home, her studio,
and South Beach itself.
We witness Barbara's amazing sketches
gain entrance to a private exhibition of them attended by friends
and fans like the Rolling Stones Ron Wood and super-models Kate Moss
and Twiggy.
Beyond Biba is an all access portrait of an overlooked and elusive
artist who refused to merely give up and live in the shadow of the
past.

is a transsexual - or "ladyboy" - from the Philippines who dreams of
escaping the streets of Cebu City for a fairy tale life in Paris.
Raquela dreams of marrying a heterosexual man from the West. She
spends much of her time on the internet looking for men who can come
and rescue her. They promise to come, but time after time Raquela
gets stood up at the airport.
In order to make her dreams come true, she turns from prostitution
toward the more lucrative business of Internet porn. Her success as
a porn star brings new friends, including Valerie, a ladyboy in
Iceland, and Michael, the owner of the website Raquela works for.
Valerie helps Raquela get as far as
Iceland. From there, Michael offers her a rendezvous in Paris. Will
Paris be everything she dreamed of? Will Michael turn out to be her
Prince Charming?
This unique and entertaining film prompted Premiere Magazine to

that deal with the process of coming out, but the experiences of
those who come out late in life is a topic that we rarely see.
Partners in business and life, Beatrice Alda and Jennifer Brooke's
have created an exceptional feature length documentary. Out Late
examines the lives of the elderly gay and lesbian community.
The film introduces five individuals who made a decisive change
after the age of 55; to come out as lesbian, gay, or transgender.
Why did they wait until their golden years to come out and what has
that process been like? What was the turning point that caused each
of these people finally to openly declare their sexuality?

reveals emotional, untold stories from a formerly silent generation.

 Few
names or faces are more emblematic of 1970's gay life than that of porn
icon and artist Peter Berlin. Nights in Black Leather is both an
exciting erotic romp and a time capsule of gay life in San Francisco
circa 1972. Peter Berlin stars as himself, a German immigrant walking
around looking for adventure.
Originally titled Post Haste Hustle, the film was renamed Nights in
Black Leather by the distributor and went on to become an international
sensation, playing for months at adult cinemas in the US and Europe.
Initially released as starring "Peter Burian" the star changed his name
to Peter Berlin (to avoid a lawsuit with an actor of the same name) and
thus the legend was born.
For decades no known intact 16mm negative
or print existed and the film was thought to be lost. An original
negative was recently discovered in Southern California and was used to
create a brand new 16mm print, We owe gratitude to the Legacy Project
Film Preservation venture of Outfest and the UCLA Film & Television
Archives for the restoration and preservation of this film.
Slip on your harness, sitback and enjoy this late screening of Nights in
Black Leather.

The Backwoods Bears Club returns to
Sawmill Camping Resort
in Dade City, FL (between Tampa & Orlando) this weekend with a
full slate of favorite activities including two
Bear Busts.
Friday’s lineup includes Bingo & a large 50/50, “Flashback Fridays”
music of the 80’s, 90’s & 2000’s w/DJ Rob in Woody’s and DJ Jeff’s
Country Crockpot of Music in the Courtyard. Bear Bust starts at 11PM.
Saturday
is a
